Black Hills Trailside Park Resort is a “First Class Destination,” located within city limits of beautiful Hill City. Our resort has full hook-up, 50amp RV sites, tent sites on Spring Creek, CLEAN showers, and 9 NEW vacation cabins, which sleep 4-5 people. The Mickelson Trail Luxury Suite is an apartment which sleeps 8, with full kitchen and separate bedroom. LINENS are provided. Within walking distance of downtown via the Mickelson Trail, this is an ideal place to stay. Mickelson Trail Adventures Bicycle rental and shuttle is located on the property. Black Hills Sawtooth Campground & Cabins

Brand new RV Park in 2023, we have 20 full hook-up sites, both back in and pull through, and welcome nightly, weekly and monthly stays. Our sites are large and grassy and can accommodate big rigs. We are pet friendly. We have 4 new kitchenettes under construction for the summer of 2024. Pets are not allowed in our cabins. We are only minutes from downtown Hill City and Mt Rushmore.

Rafter J Bar Ranch & Campground

The Rafter J Bar Ranch comprises five camping areas separated by Alpine meadows and shaded by large ponderosa pines. Choose a remote site, or camp close to the resort’s activity center. Alpine Inn

Custer State Park

The clear mountain waters are inviting, and the open ranges are waiting to be discovered. Bring your family to Custer State Park and let yourself run wild. Custer State Park in the Black Hills encompasses 71,000 acres of spectacular terrain and an abundance of wildlife. Within the park, you’ll discover a world of adventure! The newly constructed Custer State Park Visitor Center is open to the public 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. MDT. A herd of 1,300 bison roams freely throughout the park, often stopping traffic along the 18-mile Wildlife Loop Road. The herd is one of the largest publicly owned herds in the world. Custer State Park boasts several scenic drives that explore the diversity of the area. From the granite spires of Needles Highway to the bison along Wildlife Loop Road. The park includes lodges at Sylvan Lake, Legion Lake, Blue Bell and the State Game Lodge. Each resort has its own flavor, ranging from the stately Game Lodge, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, to the mini dude ranch at Blue Bell.
