Sawtooth Campground: This is the place we, really I, have fallen in love with! I would stay at this campground over and over again. Being disabled but ambulatory only means that I must plan and prepare for the worst days all the time; especially when I’m not in the comfort of my own home. With Sawtooth we were welcomed right away and escorted to our cabin. The staff checked on our needs as they saw us out and about. Nothing was needed by the way because they’ve already thought of everything you could possibly need; with the exception of your personal items of course. This bed was so comfy I slept as soundly as I would at home. Although you are close to the road, we heard absolutely no traffic, unless it was the occasional motorcycle or larger motorhome turning in; even at that it was not very noticeable and not often at all. Truly, the road noise wasn’t even there. The layout of the cabin was perfect for my walker and wheelchair; I simply just remained downstairs leaving the loft for the younger generation to experience. The doors were easily accessible without the need to leave my equipment outside the bathroom like I’ve experienced before. It’s not really ADA compliant. However, it’s so close I’m saying I would return again and again without a problem. And….now that this knowledge is out there….I’m sure these cabins will remain booked well in advance. So make plans early so you can be sure to experience this campground and all it has to offer.
