Rocky Knolls Golf Course

The 9-hole, par 36 Rocky Knolls Golf Course offers 3,084 yards of precision golf from the longest tee. The natural landscape of the course is refreshing and offers scenic views of the Southern Black Hills. The fairways are lined with mature Ponderosa Pines and demand accuracy off the tee. The course rating is 35.9 and has a slope rating of 136 from the tips. Rocky Knolls Golf Course opened in 1965. The on-site pro shop offers a nice selection of golf apparel for both men and women. Golf supplies like balls and gloves are also available. Hungry? Thirsty? There is a wide selection of food to order from the grill for both lunch and dinner and a full-service bar.

Over 3,600 miles of open roads plus 650 miles of designated trails for all types of Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) await you. Visitors can rent ATV/OHVs from local providers or you can bring your own. For information of rules and regulations, contact the Black Hills National Forest Service or the Visitor Information Centers in Rapid City or Hill City.

ATV/UTV Trails

Recreational enthusiasts of all types will enjoy the world class George S. Mickelson Trail. Stretching 109 miles from Deadwood to Edgemont, the trail passes through Hill City and offers some of the most spectacular views found anywhere. This crushed limestone/gravel surface is perfect for those who want to hike, bicycle, ride horseback, snowshoe, run or cross-country ski.
