Visitors!

Sawtooth Campground: This is the place we, really I, have fallen in love with! I would stay at this campground over and over again. Being disabled but ambulatory only means that I must plan and prepare for the worst days all the time; especially when I'm not in the comfort of my own home. With Sawtooth we were welcomed right away and escorted to our cabin. The staff checked on our needs as they saw us out and about. Nothing was needed by the way because they've already thought of everything you could possibly need; with the exception of your personal items of course. This bed was so comfy I slept as soundly as I would at home. Although you are close to the road, we heard absolutely no traffic, unless it was the occasional motorcycle or larger motorhome turning in; even at that it was not very noticeable and not often at all. Truly, the road noise wasn't even there. The layout of the cabin was perfect for my walker and wheelchair; I simply just remained downstairs leaving the loft for the younger generation to experience. The doors were easily accessible without the need to leave my equipment outside the bathroom like I've experienced before. It's not really ADA compliant. However, it's so close I'm saying I would return again and again without a problem. And....now that this knowledge is out there....I'm sure these cabins will remain booked well in advance. So make plans early so you can be sure to experience this campground and all it has to offer.

The Hill City Chamber of Commerce is nothing but helpful. I went in looking for some very basic information and wound up talking biking and hiking trails with the knowledgeable staff! Wonderful folks with a wealth of knowledge to get you pointed in the right direction when you visit the Black Hills!

My wife and I dropped by the VC accidentally in early June. We found it very informative and the staff are also very kind and helpful. It's really a missing gem in Black Hill.

Chute Rooster in Hill City, SD, did not disappoint! We dug into a juicy bison burger and a fresh Cobb salad, both packed with flavor and perfectly hit the spot after a day of exploring. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it an ideal family hangout. Between the pool tables upstairs, the live music, and the rustic charm, it had that perfect mix of fun and laid-back vibes. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and make memories all in one stop.

John Crane Gallery: To quickly go through this gallery would only leave you longing for more time with all the beauty which welcomes you Did you know that the Jon Crane gallery isn't full of only one artist's works? Actually there's at least three....by the time you finish enjoying the wonderful gallery you'll be familiar with them all.. And YES they do ship.
